X/D Loom is an automotive wiring diagram design tool for project car builders, hobbyists, and other users who want to create, edit, share, and export wiring diagrams.

We collect information that you provide directly, information created when you use the Service, and information received from third-party login providers if you choose to sign in with them.

Account information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • your password or authentication credentials, where applicable;
  • your user ID;
  • your profile picture or profile picture URL;
  • your login method, such as email/password, Google, or Facebook;
  • your subscription status and account settings.

If you create an account using email and password, your password is handled using security measures appropriate for authentication. We do not intend to store your password in plain text.

Google login information

If you choose to sign in using Google OAuth, we request access only to basic profile information and your email address.

Depending on your Google account and the permissions granted, we may receive and store:

  • your Google user ID;
  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your profile picture URL.

We use this information to create and manage your X/D Loom account, authenticate you, display your profile information in the app, provide account-related support, and secure the Service.

We do not use Google OAuth user data for advertising. We do not sell Google OAuth user data. We do not share Google OAuth user data except as described in this Privacy Policy, such as where necessary to provide, maintain, secure, or support the Service, comply with law, or with your consent.

You can revoke X/D Loom’s access to your Google account through your Google account settings. Revoking access may stop future Google login access, but it does not automatically delete your X/D Loom account or diagrams. To delete your X/D Loom account, use the account settings page or contact us.

Facebook login information

If you choose to sign in using Facebook OAuth, we request access only to basic profile information and your email address.

Depending on your Facebook account and the permissions granted, we may receive and store:

  • your Facebook user ID;
  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your profile picture URL.

We use this information to create and manage your X/D Loom account, authenticate you, display your profile information in the app, provide account-related support, and secure the Service.

We do not use Facebook OAuth user data for advertising. We do not sell Facebook OAuth user data. We do not share Facebook OAuth user data except as described in this Privacy Policy, such as where necessary to provide, maintain, secure, or support the Service, comply with law, or with your consent.

You can revoke X/D Loom’s access to your Facebook account through your Facebook account settings. Revoking access may stop future Facebook login access, but it does not automatically delete your X/D Loom account or diagrams. Wiring diagrams and user content

When you use X/D Loom, we collect and store the content you create in the app, including wiring diagrams and related diagram data.

This may include:

  • diagram names and project names;
  • diagram components, labels, wiring paths, notes, and annotations;
  • diagram layout and design data;
  • export settings;
  • share-link settings;
  • creation and modification dates.

You are responsible for the information you include in your wiring diagrams. You should not include personal information, confidential information, passwords, financial details, or sensitive information in diagrams unless it is necessary and you are comfortable storing or sharing that information through the Service.

Publicly shared diagrams

X/D Loom allows users to share wiring diagrams publicly using a shareable link.

If you choose to make a diagram public or share it using a public link, that diagram may be viewed by anyone who has access to the link. If you share the link publicly, others may further share, copy, download, or refer to the diagram.

You are responsible for any information you include in publicly shared diagrams. Do not include private, confidential, or sensitive information in diagrams that you make public.

Payment and subscription information

X/D Loom offers a Free plan and a Premium plan. Payments are processed by Stripe.

If you subscribe to the Premium plan, we may collect and store limited billing-related information, such as:

  • your subscription plan;
  • subscription status;
  • payment status;
  • billing email;
  • customer ID or subscription ID from Stripe;
  • invoice and payment history metadata.

Payment card details are processed by Stripe. We do not intentionally store full credit card numbers on our own servers.

Communications

If you contact us for support, privacy requests, account help, feedback, or other enquiries, we may collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • the contents of your message;
  • information needed to respond to your request.

Technical, usage, and analytics information

When you use X/D Loom, we may collect technical and usage information, including:

  • IP address;

  • operating system;
  • pages viewed;
  • features used;
  • login dates and times;
  • error logs;
  • diagnostic information;

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the Service and improve the app. We use Sentry for error tracking, debugging, and service reliability.

  • create and manage user accounts;
  • authenticate users through email/password, Google OAuth, or Facebook OAuth;
  • provide the X/D Loom wiring diagram design tool;
  • store, edit, share, and export wiring diagrams;
  • enable PNG exports for Free and Premium users;
  • enable PDF exports for Premium users;
  • manage subscriptions and billing through Stripe;
  • send transactional emails through Resend;
  • send marketing emails where users have opted in;
  • provide support and respond to enquiries;
  • monitor, debug, and improve the Service;
  • detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues;
  • enforce our Terms of Service;
  • comply with legal obligations.

4. Marketing emails

Users may opt in to receive marketing emails during account creation.

If you opt in, we may send you emails about product updates, feature announcements, offers, and related X/D Loom news.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email footer or by changing your account settings.

Even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send important transactional or service-related emails, such as account, billing, security, subscription, or legal notices.

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to:

  • secure your account;

  • operate the Service;
  • understand usage through analytics;

  • Stripe for payments and subscription billing;
  • Resend for transactional and marketing emails;

  • Google and Facebook/Meta for OAuth login, where you choose those login methods;
  • hosting, database, security, and infrastructure providers.

These providers may process information on our behalf or under their own terms and privacy policies.

Public sharing chosen by you

If you make a diagram public or share it with a shareable link, that diagram may be accessible to anyone with the link.

Legal and safety reasons

We may disclose information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to:

  • comply with law, regulation, legal process, or government request;
  • enforce our Terms of Service;
  • protect the rights, property, or safety of X/D Loom, users, or others;
  • detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, abuse, security issues, or technical problems.

Business transfers

If X/D Loom is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient handles personal information consistently with this Privacy Policy.

With your consent

We may share information with your consent or at your direction.

7. Overseas disclosures

X/D Loom may use service providers located outside Australia, including providers based in the United States and other countries.

Where personal information is processed outside Australia, privacy laws in those countries may differ from Australian privacy laws. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and protect personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

8. Data retention

We retain user data for as long as your account is active.

Inactive accounts are deleted after 2 years of inactivity.

If you delete your account, we will permanently delete associated X/D Loom account data and wiring diagram data from our servers within 30 days, except where we are required or permitted to retain certain information for legal, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, or compliance purposes.

Some information may remain in third-party systems, billing records, logs, or backups for a limited period where deletion is not technically immediate or where retention is legally required.

9. Account deletion

You can delete your X/D Loom account through the account settings page.

When you delete your account:

  • your account will be scheduled for deletion;
  • your private wiring diagrams will be deleted;
  • your publicly shared diagrams will be removed or disabled, unless retention is required by law;
  • your OAuth login data stored by X/D Loom will be deleted;
  • your associated X/D Loom data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days, subject to the exceptions described above.

10. Facebook data deletion

If you used Facebook login, you may request deletion of data associated with your Facebook login by:

  • deleting your X/D Loom account through the account settings page;
  • contacting us at [email protected]; or
  • removing X/D Loom from your Facebook account’s app settings and requesting data deletion through Facebook/Meta’s available tools.

When we receive a valid deletion request, we will delete the Facebook user ID, name, email address, profile picture URL, and associated X/D Loom account data within 30 days, except where retention is required or permitted by law.

11. Accessing and correcting your information

You may access and update certain account information through your account settings.

You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.

We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical, organisational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information will be completely secure at all times.

13. Children’s privacy

X/D Loom is not intended for children under 13 years of age.

If you are under 18, you should use X/D Loom only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

14. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the information you include in your wiring diagrams.

You should not include personal, confidential, sensitive, or regulated information in wiring diagrams unless you have the right to do so and understand the risks of storing or sharing that information.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as by posting an updated version on the website, updating the “Last updated” date, or sending a notice through the Service or by email.

Your continued use of X/D Loom after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
